Solid Fixie, February 3, 2012 By This review is from: Pure Fix Cycles Whiskey Fixed Gear Bike (Sports) Ordered it from Pure Fix on a Monday got here (East coast) Friday. Rides smooth, I'll credit the sealed bearings which are nice to have at the price. Decent components all around. Wheels need a lil truing. Good front brake is all I need for emergencies since I ride fixed. Gearing is kinda high; good for speed but not for climbs and skidding. Good track bike. The front brake won't clear the frame for a barspin if you plan on tricking with it. I'll change the seat, it's pretty bare. Oury grips are the business. They really stress you take it to a shop to be built. But I've been working on bikes since my training wheels fell off. Grew up riding MTBs and BMXs. This is my 2nd fixie and I'm set on riding it for a while. Going to use it for commute, training, and just battling traffic like a warrior. The dropout has holes tapped & drilled for a rack, good feature many track bikes don't have. My only gripe was the color of the wheels. Be advised, they look much brighter online! I thought... cool-looking bike, June 21, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Pure Fix Cycles Whiskey Fixed Gear Bike (Sports) Bought this very first fixie, from Wholesale Liquidation Center about 2 weeks ago. Upon assembling, I noticed one of the two brake rubbers and its hardware were missing. Fondly, they were able to promptly refund some money back to me after I emailed them, for which I have to commend. The bike looks really great, and it rides solid. I did replace the saddle after riding it for 2 days because it's too hard. Otherwise, the bike looks just as beautiful as shown on its website.
