First let me give you my background. I am 54 years old. I have had 3 knee surgeries and have blown out my lower back. This year I went through treatment for cancer and it left me a little on the weak side. I bought this bike because I want to get back into shape, and also to be more environmentally friendly. I love this bike that I have dubbed Dobby. My ride to work is completely downhill, so that was not the issue. Getting back home presented a challenge. I can now return home with no concern of getting tired. This bike has a "normal" 7 speed. With the electric side, you can have pedal assist, or go totally on throttle to get where you are going. I use the pedal assist and the regular 7 speed to get home. The only time I use the throttle is when I first start out, as the bike is a little on the heavy side, and to me, the pedals are awkwardly placed. When I received my bike, both the bike box and the shipping box were blown out on one end. I received no instructions with... Read more
