Excellent road bike, June 17, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Terry Bicycles Tailwind - Women's (Misc.) The bicycle arrived on time, completely assembled (except for the bits removed for packing), properly packed and without a scratch. Kudos to the seller.
First caveat: Due to a mis-measurement, the bicycle is slightly large for me. (I can stand over the top tube, but not with any room to spare.)
Second caveat: My hands are too small for the brake-shifter levers on the hoods. I had the same problem on other brands of bikes that I tried so I can't blame Terry for this.
Third caveat: I've been riding a touring bicycle for the last 10 years, so I'm not accustomed to the feel of a road bike.
This is a very pretty bicycle. The components are high quality and this is an outstanding bargain on Amazon. I have never seen a brand new bicycle of this quality at this price point. It is a little bit on the heavy side for a modern road bike (50 cm frame is 123 lbs including 2 bottle holders and a pump), but in my case I can eliminate extra weight elsewhere... Read more

I am totally new to the cycling thing, my husband got me into it, and this was not only a fantastic deal, but this is a terrific bike. The quality is there! The seat is very comfy and it was perfectly proportioned for my 5'5 frame. I have shorter legs and the reach on both ends is perfect. It came quick and i had it assembled and inspected at my local bike shop. Thanks TERRY for making a great beginners bike!
